With over twenty-five years of combined experience in geotechnical engineering, soil mechanics, earthworks, and civil materials, Ryan brings wide-ranging expertise to his role.
As a Chartered member of Engineers Australia (CPEng) and a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), Ryan has established a solid reputation in the geotechnical engineering space. Currently Director and Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Kemp Geotechnical Consulting Pty Ltd, he has worked across diverse sectors including mining, commercial, residential, school, industrial, road and rail, bridge, power station, pipeline, mine, and telecommunication.
Ryan's professional journey began in 1998 as he started his career in soil testing. With a Certificate IV in materials testing, he gained valuable experience in the material testing field until 2002. Eager to expand his experience, Ryan embraced the role of an Engineering Services Technician/Driller for the next four years. During this period, he pursued engineering studies and eventually joined the Geotechnical Engineering team at Bowler Geotechnical in 2006.
With a strong commitment to continuous learning, Ryan has completed studies in both Civil Engineering and Business Management, with a focus on Leadership and Management. His specialisation lies in geotechnical investigation, finite element analysis, permanent and temporary works design, construction monitoring, materials testing, and consultancy.
